MOBfest panels discuss music business
I actually hadn’t heard of MOBfest before, but apparently it’s an annual music showcase in Chicago. Last night and tonight the fest is featuring music showcases, but tomorrow there will be a couple music business panel discussions that I’m going to check out. Panelists include execs from Atlantic Records, Q101, Warner Bros Records, Live Nation & more. PLUS, tickets for the panels are only $10.
Saturday, June 25, 2011 schedule (full details on the MOBfest website) — at Hard Rock Hotel
- 1:00 PM – Demystifying the Role of Music Supervisor in Advertising, Film, & TV Panel
- 2:30 PM – Redefining the A&R Process Panel
MOBfest, Chicago’s preeminent music festival came to life in the summer of 1997 with the help of some of Chicago’s most influential music and industry players. MOBfest was founded by Roger Jansen of KMA Management, one of Chicago’s top artist management companies. Now in its 15th year, and hosted by Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, MOBfest not only continues to be the leading showcase for dozens of artists for the record industry that converge in the city, but it has become known for hosting some of tomorrow’s biggest artists locally before they explode on the national scene.
