My mom was at the Jazz Festival yesterday and mentioned that she saw this guy Adam Makowicz perform with one of the ensembles. Apparently he is a really well-known Polish musician and is in Chicago for a few days. If you missed him at the fest, he’ll also be performing at the Chopin Theatre on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
Makowicz hasn’t been in Chicago for over 20 years, so it sounds like this will be a hot event. Admittedly, I’m not a huge expert on jazz but I’m definitely curious to check him out.
