Last night was the opening reception for Unzipped at the Society for Art, and there was a really good turnout for the event. I realized I had been at this particular gallery before a few years ago for a Chicago Latino Film Festival Poster exhibit (the gallery is by Milwaukee & Ashland, and hosts a lot of exhibits).

Overall, it was a fun event. It was interesting to see so many different types of art by various Polish artists, from paintings to photography to sculptures to fashion. I didn’t get any photos of the fashion pieces, but definitely recommend checking out Agga B.
My mom and I also got to see some old family friends we haven’t seen in years, including Miroslaw Chudy, one of the exhibiting artists.

If you missed last night’s opening reception, you can still catch the exhibition now through June 26, 2011 at The Society for Art, 1112 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chicago.
