Admittedly, I wasn’t overly enthusiastic when I agreed to go painting and drinking with Mindy at Art n Spirits. Mainly just because I’m not as drawn to arts & crafts as my crafty friend Mindy. And also because by the time I got to Art n Spirits I had walked several blocks in 105 degree weather after a long day at work. Needless to say, I was not feeling my most creative.

However, as the night went on (and as the wine drinking went on), I started to feel my creative juices flowing! I was initially kind of put off by the idea of just copying a painting (brush) stroke for (brush) stroke — blame my rebellious spirit! But I found a way to make my painting my own, and I was very happy with the end result!
