Polish jazz singer Grazyna Auguscik comes to Old Town School of Folk Music

My mom has gone to see Polish jazz singer Grazyna Auguscik perform a few times, but I’ve never made it out. However, I’ve been meaning to check her out, and now she’ll be back in Chicago performing at the Old Town School of Folk Music on June 6.

She’ll be joined by Brazilian guitarist Paulinho Garcia as the two perform tracks from their new album, The Beatles Nova.

The event is free (although there’s a $10 suggested donation), but you can reserve your tickets online now.

Event details:

  • Grazyna Auguscik & Paulinho Garcia
  • Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 8:30 p.m.
  • Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N. Lincoln in the Gary & Laura Maurer Concert Hall

While this concert is sure to be the perfect vibe for a summer night show, I also love this previous performance Auguscik did of a jazz-style Chopin song (ps, I think the accordion is officially one of my favorite instruments):
