Last month, I had the chance to attend the Hispanicize conference in Miami for the first time. Hosted at the gorgeous Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach, it was an awesome opportunity to meet some of the leading names in Hispanic social media, marketing, movies & music.
One of the most interesting aspects of the conference for me was the music track of sessions. It seems that this is a newer and growing part of Hispanicize, but I was really impressed with the names they had on site to talk about the convergence of the music industry, the Latino market and social media. I had the chance to see people like the EVP of Digital at Universal Music Latino, music video director Jessy Terrero and the head of Latinmixx talk about their respective industries.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the Hispanicize continues to grow in 2014, and next year, I hope to also stick around for the Latin Billboard Conference, which took place just a week later this year. Check out my extended recap of the conference on my agency’s blog.
