My Drive-Thru Diet: Burgers, Fries, Pop

I was watching TV and this commercial literally made my jaw drop and made me shout, “what the ?*$&” – Taco Bell’s Drive-Thru Diet. That’s right, Taco Bell actually put a woman in their TV spot, Subway-Jared style, who lost 54 lbs eating Taco Bell.

I understand people are trying to be healthy, fast food is evil, blah, blah, blah. But this is just ridiculous. Personally, I’m never, EVER, going to order a salad, fruit wedges or anything remotely healthy from McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell or any other fast food restaurant. If I’m at a drive-thru, I’m ordering some kind of greasy, burger-type food, fries, a non-diet pop and maybe another fattening, artery-clogging side.

Let’s just accept that while fast food is unhealthy, it has its place and shouldn’t pretend to be something it’s not!

  1. I agree. The main point here is that she at less food and eventually lost weight. Not that she chose to eat at Taco Bell. There is nothing wrong with eating fattening foods from time to time, if you are smart about it, but I would never recommend eating at a fast food restaurant on any kind of regular basis. Lower calories or not, that just isn’t healthy.
