The biggest sports event ever is coming up: the World Cup. Here are my favorite World Cup and football-themed (don’t call it soccer) ads.

Nike: Write Your Future
Nike is calling this commercial its best  ever – I won’t get into that debate, but I do really like it. It has excitement, it tells a story, has hot soccer players (hello, Ronaldo!) and lots of cool cameos. And I actually want to watch it again and again.

This one is a little off-beat, but I thought it was funny. MTV understands that you might not be watching during the World Cup. Too bad Spooky isn’t quite as understanding…
