The other weekend I had a chance to visit Washington D.C. to help support a special event my client, Cricket Wireless was hosting to celebrate 100,000 Muve Music subscribers. A major perk was getting the chance to meet Big Sean in person, who has been doing in-store meet & greets for Cricket all over the country. I also had a chance to sit in on Big Sean’s interview with Baltimore Hip Hop Examiner Mike Andrews, and hear him talk about where he came from, how his music career got its start and how he’s handling being Finally Famous. I really didn’t know that much about Big Sean’s background beforehand, so it was really interesting to hear him talk about having a 3.7 GPA and scholarship to college, which he decided to give up in pursuit of his dream. I gotta give it to him, he is a smart kid and a good speaker. Really glad I had a chance to meet him and hear him tell his story firsthand.
