There’s an interesting exhibit coming to the Chicago Cultural Center this January, titled Morbid Curiosity. It apparently features works from collector Richard Harris, which explore death across artistic, cultural and spiritual practices. That means skulls, bones, paintings, specimens and other contemporary art works. It will also include various artifacts from countries around the world, especially Tibet, Mexico, Africa and New Guinea.
I am not familiar with Richard Harris, so a quick Google search uncovered this article, which tells the story of how he got into collecting these types of items.

The Center will also host an opening reception for the exhibit on Friday, Jan. 27 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
