I am obsessed with posters, especially Polish posters. Poster art is huge in Poland (and I’d like to think renown internationally), and when I was in Warsaw a year and a half ago, I checked out the Polish Poster Museum at Wilanow, stocked up on books filled with old Polish poster art, and even began ordering prints of vintage posters online.

That’s why I’m so excited that an exhibit of Modern Polish Posters is coming to the Polish Museum of America in Chicago. The exhibit will feature 70 works by 22 artists from from the Szczecin Academy of Arts in Poland.
The exhibition will be on display from April 13 to May 6, 2012, but you can also check out a special opening reception:
- Friday, April 13
- 7 – 9 p.m.
- Admission: $10 for PMA members, $15 for non-members
- Opening reception will include live music, Polish food & beer/vodka, and appearances by exhibition artists

whenever you get a house, you need to invest in some nice frames for all your goodies!
I don’t think I have to wait to have a house for that! There’s actually a frame store by my apartment that’s super cute, so may have to drop by there soon.
