St. Joseph, Michigan

We strolled along a walkway overlooking Lake Michigan

My boyfriend’s mom lives on a small lake in the St. Joseph area in Michigan, so I spent Labor Day weekend out there. I love Michigan. When I was little, we spent many summers in Union Pier, just north of New Buffalo (check out Oink’s there if you’re ever in the area). Even though it’s only 1-2 hours away, crossing a couple state lines makes you feel like you’re getting away from it all, at least for a bit.

This weekend I actually ventured into St. Joseph for the first time. It was my lucky day – there was a vintage fair in downtown St. Joseph, overlooking Lake Michigan! Strolling along and looking at various vintage finds was a great way to spend a couple hours.

And of course the day wouldn’t be complete without a ridiculous find. I spotted a gorgeous black, vintage stove from 1895 and called Adam over immediately. He actually had the balls to buy it! Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled. Now I just need to find the perfect spot for this beauty in my apartment.

No, I didn’t buy this. I just thought it looked cool since it’s in Polish.
