A couple weekends ago, I finally made it out to Lacuna Lofts in Pilsen for the F.A.M.E. Festival. Well, by the time I actually dragged my ass out there the fest was mainly over, but I did have time to make it up to the rooftop, take in the view of the city and wander through the building.
The star resident of Lacuna has to be Hebru Brantley, the artist who recently got major press after Jay-Z bought one of his paintings. You could definitely see his mark on the entire building, his art scattered throughout the floors.
It was cool to walk through the halls and see the different residents – in addition to Brantley, they include Fake Shore Drive, Dynasty Podcasts, and many other artists. And I just love lofts – the wooden floors, the exposed ceilings, the thick steel doors. If you want to check out Lacuna, stop by for the Second Saturdays open studios event on August 10.
nice first shot!
Thanks! That rooftop has an amazing view.
