Yesterday, I visited Logan Square for the first time in quite awhile, to check out Brasil Fest. Although the fest was a bit lackluster – it was only two blocks and the actual vendors didn’t seem very Brazilian – the highlights were definitely the performers and their awesome dance moves.
After getting through the fest and the concurrent farmer’s market, we chased down an elote man by Mega Mall. As we were headed his way, I stumbled across the very cool urban art murals along the parking lot wall. They included an eye-catching piece by Hebru Brantley as well as work by Del Real, Fact and JC Rivera, who I recently started following on Instagram. (Shout out to PaintTheStreets.com for identifying all these works.)
