Outside In: The Mexican-American Street Art Movement in Chicago exhibit

The other night, I checked out the opening reception for a new exhibit at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen, which features graffiti and street art by various Mexican artists. (And the reception featured delicious free tamales – score!) The most eye-catching piece is a huge mural that features a Hello Kitty Frida Kahlo among other imagery. However, several of the paintings and photographs are worth a visit. The exhibit runs through December 22, 2013.
