Just over a week ago, my niece Chloe Mila finally arrived! When I heard that she was on her way I felt suddenly anxious and nervous and excited to meet my first niece and to see my baby brother holding his daughter. I eagerly made my way to the hospital, and along with my brother, mom and Lena’s mom, waited all night for Chloe to make her appearance. It was so surreal to be in that room waiting for this little life to be born.

After many hours of labor, Chloe was here! As soon as I walked into the room, the tears burst out. I couldn’t believe that my brother is a father. And that this little being was a part of our family. I didn’t anticipate the sheer emotion that would overcome me.

I can’t wait to see this little girl grow up, grow a personality and be a permanent part of our lives!
