I never got around to posting about the Sheffield Garden Walk back in July, so I figured I might as well do it today, on this gloomy November Sunday. My mom and I spent a few hours strolling though the side streets off Sheffield, near DePaul – ah, the days of sunshine and warm weather!
I love walking down random side streets in the city and exploring new neighborhoods, and this was the perfect opportunity to do just that.
There were some really amazing residential gardens included in the walk. People had rooftop gardens over garages, ponds with koi fish, ivy-covered brick walls, shaded lounge areas and endless varieties of plants and flowers.
Perhaps one day I’ll have my own hidden garden in the city!
