I recently checked out an open studios event at Mana Contemporary. It’s a large building just down the street from Lacuna Lofts, and a very cool space. Unfortunately, I showed up shortly before the event came to an end, so my tour was rushed, but I did get to visit several talented artists’ studios.

I always say that if I go to an event and I meet at least one new person, it’s been worthwhile. That one person during this event was artist Dawn Korman. She is one bad-ass woman. First of all, she is super stylish. Second, she recently started working with leather. She had a bunch of these leather holsters with skulls on them that I am absolutely obsessed with (the holsters and skulls in general). They are the perfect accessory for fall, so I hope to be rocking one soon.
